Sales Engineer
Our Client is a world leader in high performance light measuring solutions and operates at the high-value end of the global scientific market. The company employs over 260 people in 16 offices worldwide and distributes its products to 10,000 customers in 55 countries. A new position has now opened up with our client. They are currently recruiting for a Sales Engineer
Responsibilities
- Work as part of a team of Sales Engineers to meet /exceed agreed team and individual sales objectives
- Strengthen existing customer relationship & develop new business relationships within the defined territory using CRM system
- Work with Customer support team to provide answers to technical and commercial queries from direct research customers in both physical science & bio - imaging applications.
- Demonstrate equipment to customers as required to facilitate the sale of products.
- Manage designated sales leads, prospects and customer accounts in a manner incumbent with agreed business objectives. Follow-up all sales opportunities (Direct and indirect) on a monthly basis.
- Continually compile market information/intelligence on dedicated regions with a view to providing feedback to help identify opportunities for market development and growth of sales in the territory
- Work with a dedicated Regional Sales Coordinator to manage the territory and identify new potential customers e.g. for e-shot campaigns and Road Shows.
- Represent and promote the company in a professional manner at trade fairs and conferences within the designated regions.
- Provide a weekly sales report detailing bookings figures, potential sales, customer feedback and activity plan.
- Attend annual sales meetings with worldwide Sales Engineers to exchange ideas and develop regional strategies.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably required from time to time by your line manager
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent in a science, engineering or business discipline
- Over 5 years experience in a sales and technical support role
- Experience in selling or supporting technical and high-value products
- Fluent in English Language
- Excellent communication skills
- Results-oriented & able to work on own initiative
- Able to build good business relationships with across a wide variety of cultures and personalities
- Self-motivated & computer Literate
Desired
Experience with spectroscopy or optical instrumentation
